The Province of Pisa
About this project
I was hired as a full time employee by the Information Technology Department of the Province of Pisa in 2005, as a “multirole” technician. I enjoyed the time I spent with my co-workers a lot. During my stay, I was in charge for restyling and modernizing their intranet. I built a new server from the ground up (using Fedora), installed WordPress and SAMBA, wrote a few custom plugins to let editors upload files with a simple drag&drop between a local and a shared folder. Later I was elected as a member of the web committee formed to rebrand the County’s website.
