About me

Gerlando TerminiI was born and raised in Sicily. When I was 18, I moved to the beautiful city of Pisa (you know, the Leaning Tower…) where I earned my degree in Computer Science in July 2002. After a few months I started working for the Public Relations Office of the University of Pisa. This is where I fell in love with PHP. In 2008 my wife and I decided to move to the United States, and now I reside in the historic town of New Milford, New Jersey. Here I spend my spare time with my family, my passion for photography and the exciting projects I’m currently working on.

I am thirsty for knowledge

I first and foremost appreciate and enjoy programming web applications. I’m a design enthusiast, a workaholic, an absolute perfectionist, and I pride myself on being a self-learner. At a young age, I taught myself the art of writing clean standardized HTML code and creating accessible layouts.

Ok, but why a Japanese name?

The Japanese generally don’t express their love openly. They believe that love can be expressed by manners. They take a bath before eating dinner, they don’t hug each other and their sense of honor is one of the strongest in the world. I love their history, folklore, graphic novels, anime… and of course the concept of tidiness (bare essentials) in every single aspect of their lives.
